Cooke's Classics
Cookie’s Crumbles Productions formally announced today that they will be producing a series of short and feature-length films based on timeless stories by the likes of famous authors such as Edgar Alan Poe, Robert Lewis Stevenson and many others. Rather than making them as straight adaptations, they are taking a more innovative approach in
that they will be "updapted" to modern settings, while remaining as faithful to the original stories. The reason being, by making the movies in this manner, they will be more relatable to the modern audience. The first updaptation will be, “The Most Dangerous Game”, the 1924 short story by James Connell, considered to be the benchmark of the classic Man vs. Man conflict. Writer-director Adrian Havens will pen this first installment in the series. Screenwriters Kym Stover, Tina Field Howe, and Will Templeton have already signed onto the project. Other writers will be added as the series progresses.
